First Tracks Album

Song writing in BajaIt's taken a few years to write 16 songs and about 6 months to record them all.  I could keep going back and fixing more of my mistakes (it's amazing what you can do with software!) but at some point I had to stop and just release the album.  I learned so much during this project, that I can't wait to get started on the next album.  So "First Tracks" is finally ready, available on CD on the home page of this website and as digital downloads from Apple iTunes (click here to go to iTunes).

You can listen to all the songs from the widget on the right of the page.  If you've got something to say, please register and create your own blog with your thoughts and suggestions.

Thank you!

It was good to see you guys all at FFFF. I liked that place and had wonderful time. We will come back again soon.

Very Cool

I love the website. It's very cool. What did you use to make it?

Miguel Hernandez Website - software used

Thanks for the compliment!

To answer your question:

I used a CMS (Content Management System) called Drupal ( It has a database backend (MySQL) and mostly PHP code to pull stuff from the database and display the actual web pages.

I host the website (and database) at ByteSlinger (

Loved it!!

As soon as I put the music on, the kids started coming into the room to see who was playing. I enjoy Michael's voice. Wish I knew some cool words to describe it, but they elude me at the moment. I definitely recommend this music.

Unadulterated words, some

Unadulterated words, some true words dude. You rocked my day.

Maybe I'm prejudiced but I love it. I know you worked hard for this. Fantabulous job. I now have new music on my computer, ipod and phone :-) I'm also going to pass it on.

Fantastic! Great album. Love every song but I think my two favorites are Black Diamond Girl and Shoeless Steve.

Congratulations! Praying all goes well. Love you, brother!
